How do I apply for a Merchant Account?

The easiest way to get started setting up your Merchant Account is to reach to our Sales team at sales@tidalcommerce.com or by calling (800) 573-6268.

How long does it take to set up a Merchant Account?

Because each business is unique we do not like to give an exact time frame but usually a new merchant account can be setup within 2 business days, after receiving all required documentation for account approval.

What businesses do you not process for?

We do not process for businesses that are located outside the U.S., are committing illegal activity, selling counterfeit products, or are otherwise considered “high risk."

Some examples of businesses we can’t offer merchants account for:

  • Adult content or services
  • Drugs
  • Gambling
  • Multi-level marketing
  • Virtual or cryptocurrency

I already have a credit card terminal, can I reprogram it to work with Tidal?

We recommend using devices that are supplied by us as all devices are required to be encrypted and signed. If the devices are already signed with a previous processor, the devices may not be able to be reprogrammed.  Please contact our office at (800) 573-6268 to discuss your options.

My business is seasonal, am I charged fees for the entire year?

If your business is seasonal we will mark which months your account should be active and we’ll suspend monthly fees during those months. Third-party agreements such as those with SwipeSimple are not able to be suspended for seasonal accounts.
